Cost Sector Catering Awards
At a glittering event, with over 800 people from across the catering industry gathered to recognise the best talent and initiatives across the sector, the team at BaxterStorey celebrated not one, not two, but three impressive wins at the Cost Sector Catering Awards, 2009.
The first award of the night 'Contract Catering District Manager' was won by Operations Manager, Kevin Logan. Kevin's ability to interpret client requirements, lead his team and build and retain business was recognised as the winning nomination by the awarding panel.
The next award 'Contract Catering Unit Manager' was handed to Siobhan Jared, Group Manager, who manages the site at Deutsche Bank (London). Siobhan's performance in transforming Deutsche Bank's staff restaurant from a pedestrian, dull environment to a vibrant, modern eatery, driving up footfall and lifting sales volumes up which, as a result, has driven down the subsidy from £845,000 to £442,000 in a year, proved to be the winning entry in this category for the judges.
And finally, in recognition of its growth, its focus on delivering fantastic food, careers and customer service and the success it has achieved in impacting the catering market, BaxterStorey was awarded the 'Contract Catering Award'.
Commenting on BaxterStorey's brilliant result , Alastair Storey, Chief Executive, said, "To be shortlisted for 5 awards and to win 3 of them is a magnificent achievement and the whole team at BaxterStorey are to be congratulated. Of course, I am especially delighted for Siobhan and Kevin and also want to recognise the brilliant performances of our Executive Head Chef, James Blackwell and our Head of Sustainability and Environmental Practice who were both finalists too. It is stellar performances such as these that make BaxterStorey such a great business and I'm extremely proud to see our business recognised as home to the sector's leading talent and operation."
