Business Continues to Boom

« Back

2004 is proving to be just as successful as recent years for Wilson Storey Halliday (WSH), the UK's leading independent specialist food services provider, with the addition of £10m new business gained in the first half of the current calendar year.

In the last 3 months alone, organisations based throughout the UK including ITV, GE Capital Finance, Travelex and Ove Arup have turned to WSH to manage their staff catering requirements, awarding the caterer £3 million of new business.

The ITV contract that commenced in mid June sees WSH providing a complete range of solutions covering coffee and deli-bars through to extensive meeting hospitality with some services operating across a 7-day week. WSH will cater for more than 3,000 staff at four of the television giant's UK sites, including its head office in London, and studios in Manchester and Yorkshire where the soap opera, Emmerdale is filmed.

Commenting on this latest announcement, managing director, Alastair Storey said: "Despite the high street light eating boom and an increasingly competitive trading environment, WSH is continuing to perform above expectation. Our success during this year has been enormous, so much so that we have grown our share of the independent contract catering market to almost 2%.

Our enviable track record of organic growth and contract retention is testament to the performance of our people and evidence that our strategy of concentrating on fresh, imaginative, home cooked food using the best possible ingredients is definitely what the market wants."
