Culinary Formulas
Delivering only the best food all of the time is a tall order. It takes perseverance, dedication and enthusiasm. To ensure that our chefs and management teams have the right skills, are motivated and understand our food and service culture we have developed our Culinary Formulas training programme. The programme addresses our business' wider management needs but at its roots Culinary Formulas is all about reinforcing our appreciation of great food.
Our chefs love to cook and the programme encourages their individuality, originality and flair for making mouth-watering food. Culinary Formulas provides them with a dedicated learning programme that feeds their creative interpretation of food, nourishes their desire to stay abreast of the latest food trends and satisfies their need to build their skill base.
As part of their learning and to ensure our service and food selection matches the fantastic food to be found on the high street, our teams are encouraged to get out and about and experience what is on offer in international food markets and the ever growing retail, coffee, deli and restaurant sectors. Our partnership with John Campbell, Executive Chef of the Michelin star Vineyard restaurant at Stockcross, already gives our chefs experience of learning from one of the UK's leading Chefs and cooking in a top class restaurant. Our teams are encouraged to expand their horizons and take part in numerous challenges and competitions to constantly stimulate creative skills.
Culinary Formulas has been developed by our award winning Executive Chef, Rik Razza. Using his experience and understanding of the challenges that being a chef in our sector bring, we have developed a programme that truly inspires our teams, provides the platform from which they can build their careers and encourages the development of the next generation of food service management professionals.
